Principal Message

Dear Bahia Vista Families,

Go with the Flow -Water Science Assembly
We are excited to share that our students will be participating in a special school wide assembly, “Go with the Flow!”, on Monday, February 9. This engaging Water Science Assembly will bring learning to life through hands-on demonstrations, interactive experiments, and eye-opening visuals—all centered around the science of water.
During the assembly, students will explore topics such as water movement, pressure, conservation, and the vital role water plays in our everyday lives. The presentation is designed to spark curiosity, encourage critical thinking, and connect scientific concepts to real-world applications in a fun and memorable way.

Assemblies like this support our commitment to enriching classroom learning and inspiring students to see science as something exciting, relevant, and dynamic. We know our students will leave energized, asking great questions, and eager to keep learning.

Thank you for your continued partnership in making these meaningful learning experiences possible. We’re looking forward to a fantastic event—and we can’t wait for our students to go with the flow!

Parent Institute for Quality Education (PiQE)
We invite you to join us for our next PiQE Parent Engagement Workshop on Wednesday, January 28 at 6:00 PM, held virtually via Zoom (Link)

Workshop Topic: Fostering Social Awareness and Educational Advocacy

Thank you for being active partners in our school community. We look forward to continuing this important work together and welcoming even more families to future PiQE sessions.

Mid Winter Break Reminder | February 16–20
This is a friendly reminder that our school will observe Mid Winter Break from Monday, February 16 through Friday, February 20, 2026. There will be no school for students during this time.

We hope this break provides an opportunity for our students, families, and staff to rest, recharge, and enjoy time together. Classes will resume on Monday, February 23, 2026.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support. We look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready for the remainder of the school year. Wishing you a safe and restful Mid Winter Break.

Attendance Matters!

As we begin the new year, we remain committed to the importance of regular school attendance and look forward to starting 2026 on a strong note. Consistent attendance plays a vital role in student learning, engagement, and success. To support this goal, we invite families to consider the following New Year’s Attendance Resolutions:

  • Be consistent: Establish a daily routine with a regular bedtime and morning schedule. Prepare clothing, school materials, and other essentials the night before, and use alarm clocks to support timely mornings.
  • Be organized: Whenever possible, schedule medical appointments and family travel outside of school hours or during school breaks.
  • Be direct: Talk with your child about the importance of attending school on time every day and how it contributes to their academic and personal growth.
  • Be mindful: Monitor your child’s attendance and stay aware of any missed days. Partner with the school if challenges arise, and recognize and celebrate improvements and positive habits.
  • Be healthy: Encourage an active lifestyle and ensure your child gets adequate rest so they arrive at school refreshed, focused, and ready to learn.

At Bahia Vista, we believe that every day counts. Regular attendance is one of the most important factors in ensuring student success. When students are present, they engage in learning, build strong habits, and strengthen our school community. Let’s continue to make attendance a priority. Together, we can help our students build a bright future—one school day at a time!
