As we look toward the 2026-27 school year, we have an important opportunity to decide how to best support our students. While our school community is changing—with a slight dip in enrollment—our commitment to your children’s academic success and emotional well-being remains our top priority.

At Bahia Vista, we serve a unique and vibrant community. Because of this, we receive specific federal funding (Title I) to ensure every student has what they need to thrive. To use these funds wisely, we need to hear from you.

Why Your Feedback Matters Right Now

Our budget for next year is being shaped by your input. We are currently focusing on two vital areas:

• Mental Health Support: We are working hard to keep our two full-time counselors on campus. Your feedback helps us justify using our funds to ensure students always have someone to talk to.
• Instructional Support: We want to keep our coaches and intervention teachers in the classrooms helping students with reading, math, and extra 1-on-1 support.

SPSA Timeline: The Road Ahead

Your feedback on the survey is the first step in our Single Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) process. Here is what to expect in the coming months:

• March/April 2026: We are currently gathering input from all stakeholders—staff, parents/families, SSC/ELAC, and PTA—to begin the DRAFT 26-27 SPSA.

• May 2026: First drafts of the 2026-27 SPSA goals and actions are due.

• June 2026: We will complete the Annual Update for this current year's (2025-26) SPSA.

• October 2026: Final revisions and SSC approval for the 2026-27 SPSA will be finalized.
