Dear Bahia Vista Families,

Welcome back to Bahia Vista! We are so excited to start a brand-new school year together. Restarting school is such a big milestone—for both kids and parents. There will be new routines, new friends, and so many “firsts.” Our teachers and staff are here to make sure your child feels safe, cared for, and ready to learn from the very first day.

Here are some important dates to keep in mind as we get ready for the year:

Parent Teacher Association (PTA) Uniform Sale. Wednesday August 12, 2026- Time 2:00-6:00pm; Friday August 14, 2026- Time 2:00-6:00pm; Tuesday, August 18, 2026 time: 2:00-4:00pm. Location - Front of school gates.
Transitional Kinder/Kindergarten Orientation - Tuesday August 18, 2026 Time: 1:00-2:00pm Location: TK families will meet in Room 1C01/ Kinder families in the Multipurpose Room.
Class List Display/Ice Cream Social- Tuesday August 18, 2026- Time: 3:00-4:00 pm Location: Front Gate.
First Day of School! -Wednesday August 19, 2026
Back-to-School Night - Wednesday September 2, 2026 – Time: 5:30-7:00pm
Fall Conferences- October 26-30, 2026
Thanksgiving Break- November 23-27, 2026
Winter Break- December 21- January 4,2027
Mid Winter Break- February 15-19, 2027
Spring Conferences- March 8-12, 2027
Spring Break- April 5-9, 2027
Last Day of School- June 10, 2027

One of the best ways to stay up-to-date on school news, classroom announcements, and important reminders is through the ParentSquare App. This free app is our main communication tool with families—you’ll receive messages, event updates, and even pictures from your child’s teacher. We encourage all parents to download the ParentSquare App before school starts so you never miss a beat. Simply search “ParentSquare” in your app store and sign up with the email or phone number you provided to the school.

👕Uniform Policy

Our school uniform policy was built with parent input and follows California education guidelines. To ensure our campus remains supportive and fair for everyone, wearing a school uniform is an expectation for all our students, however please keep these quick reminders in mind:

Exemptions: Under California law, parents can request a uniform exemption. Students with approved exemptions or temporary financial hardships will never face academic penalties or be treated differently. To request an exemption, please schedule a brief meeting with the principal to complete the BV Uniform Exemption Form.
Financial & Resource Support: We are here to help. Our school offers assistance for uniforms. If your family needs help securing uniform pieces, please contact our Family Resource Center staff.
