Dear Bahia Vista Families,

We have two exciting opportunities coming up on Wednesday, September 9, focused on helping our students navigate the digital world safely and thoughtfully.

Parent Education Series: Information Literacy Skills for Learning and Life (K-12)
  • When: Wednesday, September 9 | 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM

With a constant stream of online media coming at our kids, critical thinking is more vital than ever. This session will explore practical ways to teach children how to identify trustworthy sources, cultivate healthy digital skepticism, and act as responsible media creators and consumers.
Can’t make the live session? Register anyway! A video recording will be emailed directly to everyone who signs up shortly after the event concludes.

Special Film Premiere: Screenagers: Generation AI

The Marin County Office of Education is thrilled to invite you to the premiere of the new film Screenagers: Generation AI, co-produced by local filmmaker Lisa Tabb. Join us to explore how artificial intelligence is shaping our youth and how we can support them.

School News and Updates

Construction Update:
We are excited to share the latest progress on our campus enhancements as we prepare for the completion of our updated outdoor spaces. Here is the latest status on the construction, as of Friday September 4:

Current Progress & Key Milestones
  • Preparations for field turf installation are continuing, with installation anticipated to begin in the coming weeks. Once underway, field turf installation is expected to take approximately two weeks to complete.
  • The volcano play structure has been completed, with the contractor awaiting the return of the fall-surfacing crew to install the remaining poured-in-place safety surfacing.
  • Remaining parking lot striping is underway and will be completed as weather conditions allow.
  • Remaining site improvements include fencing installation.
  • The project continues to move toward completion as crews focus on the remaining field, playground, and site improvements.
