My name is Mrs. Eagles-Smith and I currently teach Kindergarten. This will be my seventeenth year teaching at Bahia Vista where I have taught both First Grade and Kindergarten. I have a special bond with San Rafael City Schools, as I am a product of this school district, having attended Glenwood Elementary School and Davidson Middle School. I feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to teach in the district that I grew up in. I love making a difference in the lives of my students and providing them with a solid foundation for becoming lifelong learners. I also enjoy spending time with my family, traveling and watching the San Francisco Giants.
Mi nombre es Sra. Eagles-Smith y actualmente enseño kinder. Este será mi decimoséptimo año enseñando en Bahía Vista, donde he enseñado tanto en primer grado como en kinder. Tengo un vínculo especial con las escuelas de la ciudad de San Rafael, ya que soy producto de este distrito escolar ya que asistí a la escuela primaria Glenwood y a la escuela secundaria Davidson. Me siento muy afortunada de tener la oportunidad de enseñar en el distrito en el que crecí. During my 20-year teaching career, I have taught every elementary grade, including four years as a reading intervention teacher. As a ⅘ combo teacher, I am passionate about helping my students reach their full potential while fostering their curiosity and love for learning. I am a mother of twin daughters who have reached adulthood and currently reside with my spouse and feline companion. My interests include engaging in outdoor activities such as swimming and hiking, as well as appreciating the beauty of nature, dancing, and the arts.

I’m entering my sixth year as a speech-language pathologist and my second year at Bahia Vista. Prior to joining SRCS, I worked at multiple public schools in San Francisco with students between pre-k and high school.
I try to visit state and national parks during school breaks and love seeing the spectacular views all across the US. My favorite park so far is John Pennekamp State Park in FL – a park that is explored entirely underwater!
Estoy entrando a mi sexto año como patóloga del habla y el lenguaje, y mi segundo año en Bahía Vista. Antes de unirme a SRCS, trabajé en varias escuelas públicas en San Francisco con estudiantes entre preescolar y secundaria.
Intento visitar parques estatales y nacionales durante las vacaciones escolares y me encanta ver las espectaculares vistas de todo Estados Unidos. Mi parque favorito hasta ahora es el Parque Estatal John Pennekamp en Florida, ¡un parque que se explora completamente bajo el agua!

I also enjoy painting, traveling, camping with my family, being in nature, and cooking family recipes. I hope to write my own cookbook some day!

I love being able to support the social emotional development of the students in order to be successful learners, have positive relationships, and be their best selves.
I am a Colombian-born and raised bilingual counselor and a mother of three who loves exploring new places, enjoying nature, hiking, reading, and spending quality time with family and friends. I am so grateful to live in Marin County and take advantage of all the wonderful things it has to offer.

I student taught at Lagunitas, and now I’m finishing up my credentials at SFSU and student teaching at Bahia Vista 4 days a week. I’m planning on taking over for Ms. Scannell during her maternity leave. I’m so excited to be here!
I’m a lifelong learner and I love to learn new things! I’m always up for trying new crafts, reading, and listening to podcasts. I’m also a musician, gardener, and nature-adorer. I play the piano and sing. I love building community, having fun, and being creative!
Llevo unos 4 años trabajando en escuelas primarias. Pasé 2 años como RSP en la escuela Lagunitas y luego, el año pasado, decidí obtener mis credenciales de enseñanza en SFSU.
