English Language Development (ELD)

At Bahia Vista, we celebrate multilingualism and recognize the many strengths our English Learners bring to our school community.

English Language Development is an important part of our instructional program. Students receive both integrated and designated ELD instruction to support English language proficiency while engaging in grade-level academic learning.

Our teachers intentionally create opportunities for students to develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills through structured conversations, collaborative learning, and language-rich instruction.

Academic Intervention & Student Support

We recognize that students learn at different rates and may need different levels of support throughout their educational journey.

Our teachers and intervention staff work collaboratively to monitor student progress, identify learning needs, and provide targeted instruction.

Through classroom instruction, small-group support, and specialized intervention programs, we strive to ensure that all students have access to the resources and instruction they need to succeed.

Student learning data, including classroom assessments and i-Ready results, helps our teams make informed instructional decisions and monitor student growth.
